What have we come to when someone seeks out and murder a man who was such a positive force in his community? I don’t know the details behind this murder, but I equate it with the likes of murdering Malcolm X and Tupac. Both men from the streets, not perfect…….had a past……..but who they were to their people: Unapologetically black, influential, Leaders who used their powerful platforms to uplift and aggressively promote positive change the culture. ………#HUSTLEANDMOTIVATE.
I’m tired of saying RIP to our leaders, our beloved entertainers, and our people. I’m tired…….this has to stop!! How does it stop!……………..We have to stop becoming immune to murder – just because it happens often, does not mean it is normal or rational behavior. In fact its insanity!! We have to start pushing love and hope like Nino Brown pushed dope!! We have to……..black hearts kill with no remorse………Haters we call them…….People who hate themselves…….We have to break the curse of self-hate, period……. ‘The Willie Lynch Syndrome’ is alive and well anywhere you have active gang culture among people of color……….we have created our own holocaust…..and the blood is on all our hands.
My condolences to the families who lost a loved one in the shooting. My condolences to the culture, because we lost a “real one” in Nipsty Hussle.
